What's New at G A R C ?

- Important Notice!
Our web host had a security breach in one of their databases which may have been hachers at work. Instead of waiting to see what had happened they immediatly reset all account passwords and notified all of their customers. In keeping with their concern, I have reset all garc user passwords. This includes all accounts... ftp, email, photo, chat, etc. If you can not reset your own password, please contact me and I will help you set a new password. For more info on this, look at the Status info they posted.
- Weekly Net
Along with the daylight savings time change, the GARC weekly net will now begin at 8:30 pm. It will return to 9:00 pm when the time again changes in the summer. The latest preamble and net list can be found by clicking on the "GARC Net" link on the left side of this page. Total check-in's for the January 22, 2012 weekly was 23.
Events
- Monthly Meeting
The Grant Amateur Radio Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the old Alverda Reed School in Georgetown, Ohio. Anyone interested in amateur radio or any other form of 2-way radio communications is invited to join us at our monthly meeting.
- License Test
Anyone wishing to schedule a test session for their ham ticket may contact Carolyn N8ST at 937-379-2517. Sessions are held at at the old Alverda Reed School Georgetown, Ohio. Walk-in's are welcome at all scheduled test sessions, and please note that Morse Code is no longer a requirement for any amateur license class.
